Highland Park Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Highland Park distillery is the northernmost single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the world, located on the Orkney Islands off the far north coast of Scotland, where the Atlantic Ocean turns into the North Sea. Highland Park is considered by whisky insiders one of the greatest single malts in the world. It has been named "The Best Spirit in the World" on three separate occasions by F. Paul Pacult, America's foremost expert on distilled spirits. Highland Park has also performed well at international spirit ratings competitions. Its 25 Year Old whisky was the first spirit to ever receive a perfect 100-point score at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
A disenchanted whiskey connoiissoir said this of the more recently aged single malt: What happened to this Whisky? It was always dependably good quality. My last bottle was finished, so I bought this one. My initial reaction was that I'd been sold the wrong thing. This just isn't the excellent Highland Park I've been drinking for the last 20 years. It tastes cheap. Had the 18 - also tastes cheap. I guess someone bought and ruined Highland Park?
LPN (Current Employee) says"CNAs work short almost every shift so LPNs have to help out which puts them behind on their own work."
Former Employee - Deli Clerk says"I worked at Highland Park Market full-time for more than 10 years Cons: You could be deathly ill and get in deep.trouble even with a note. Worked there for 11 plus years and was making a dollar over minimum wage as a full timer. New people came in and automatically made more. There is sexual harassment from bosses higher up that I addressed and HR did nothing."
Bagger says"I worked at Highland Park Market Cons: Mean, snobby, and rude customers/coworkers, baggers can't take tips and get horrible pay for the conditions and people they work with."
Former Employee - Deli says"I worked at Highland Park Market part-time for more than a year Cons: Every one has an issue"
Cashier says"I worked at Highland Park Market for more than 3 years Cons: Never gave enough hours, many employees did not follow the rules and got away with it"
Former Employee - Clerk says"I worked at Highland Park Market part-time for more than 3 years Cons: You will never get a raise that means much, and it will take years to get anything at all. Longer than you will probably stay."
Current Employee - Grocery Worker says"I have been working at Highland Park Market part-time for more than a year Cons: The Customers are trash man"
Former Employee - Bakery Clerk says"I worked at Highland Park Market part-time for more than 3 years Cons: - I worked there for four years and assumed much higher skill tasks and responsibility than other employees in my department and never received a raise unless the minimum wage went up. After four years, and with my role almost exclusively as a cake decorator which makes $11-13, I asked to be raised to $10 and hour (which the minimum wage was going to be raised to soon anyway) and was denied. Also, the minimum wage in CT has been gradually rising and those employees who do make more than minimum wage have not seen their wages raise accordingly, so some full-time employees make only a dollar more than minimum wage, event though the difference was more like three dollars before the age increase. - I worked around 25 hours a week and before by hours were suddenly cut to about 15 hours, which they explained that I wouldn't work so much that they would have to provide benefits. Even though for some reason, in the deli, the threshold was 30 hours, which makes no sense. Most of their part-time employees are on their parents' insurance anyway, and what kind of family-centered company would want to deny someone coverage that actually needed it. - One of store managers was extremely demeaning and kind of sexist. - The clientele was extremely snobby entitled and the store management enabled them for the sake of keeping their business. Customers would come back after ordering a $40 cake, and while yes, they ate it, they did not like it. We would explain that we are sorry they were not happy with the product but we gave them exactly what they ordered and made it to our standards. The customer would then go to the store managers (who are extremely fake friendly to maintain the facade of a local family business) and complain about our customer service and get the whole thing comped."
